STV’s favourite weatherman Sean Batty has got his very own show, Weatherwatch with Sean Batty, where he goes out and braves the elements as he takes a closer look at all things snow and ice.
The first episode saw Sean try his hand at snowboarding and travelling to Iceland in search of the spectacular Northern lights, or the Aurora Borealis.
Sean also took on the challenge of driving on ice before attempting to climb the world’s highest indoor ice-wall.
Back in Scotland, the weatherman met the crew responsible for keeping Scotland’s roads and airports open in winter.
Following the show, Sean took part in a live web chat, where fans put their weather related questions to him. You can see the video above.
Sean had dreams of being a weather forecaster from a young age and said: “Being a weather forecaster on TV in Scotland became a reality. Getting my own programme and my own show just takes it that stage further.
“People always ask what it’s like presenting on the telly but it’s just a normal job for me. It’s only when I’m out and people recognise me that I think, actually I am on TV.”
There will be another live web chat next Monday straight after the show, and you can send your questions on the night to Sean via Twitter @SeanBattySTV, on the Weatherwatch e-mail, weatherwatch@stv.tv or via the STV Live App which works on most mobile devices as well as on your computer. (You can sign up to the STV Live App here, if you haven't already done so).
Then all you have to do on Monday night is log on to stv.tv/weatherwatch straight after the show ends at 8.30 and watch to see if Sean answers your question. You'll be blown away - pardon the pun.
