Sean Batty is always keen to share his passion for all things weather related, and a recent visit to Govan school gave him the chance to pass on his knowledge and wisdom.

The popular weatherman was filming for his new TV show, Weatherwatch with Sean Batty, and he showed the pupils how they can get involved in measuring the weather with a few simple instruments.

A rain gauge for measuring rain fall can be made from a plastic bottle, and after making their very own gauges, the pupils buried it in the school garden to stop the rain blowing it over.

They also made an anemometer for measuring wind speed using some plastic cups.
