About Sir Chris Hoy

Chris Hoy is Scotland's greatest Olympic athlete. Born and raised in Edinburgh, the champion cyclist won three gold medals at the Beijing Games in 2008 - and thus won the hearts of millions across Britain. His spectacular success led to him winning the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award. The Queen acknowledged his achievements by awarding him a knighthood in 2009. Arise, Sir Chris!
