About Sean Connery

Born in Edinburgh, resident in the Bahamas, Sir Sean Connery is one of the best know Scotsmen in the world but became famous for playing James Bond, 007, the last word in English sang froid. A staunch supporter of the Scottish National Party and independence for Scotland, patron of the Edinburgh International Film Festival, keen (and rather good) golfer, he was voted the sexiest man of the 20th cenutry and, despite flirting with controversy, remains a hugely popular figure both at home and abroad.
