About European Elections

All 27 member nations of the European Parliament go to the polls in June 2009 to elect new members. This is the first European Parliamentary election for its newest entries, Bulgaria and Romania. Scotland elects six new members to the Parliament. The election in the UK will more act as a barometer of where all parties stand among voters ahead of the next General Election.
