EXPLANATION OF RESEARCH Project Title: Parental support for physical activity in children with and without disabilitiesPrincipal Investigator: Byungmo Ku, Ph.D and Luis Columna, Ph.DVersion Date: 10/27/2021Purpose: The purpose of this research study is to examine parental physical activity support in parents of children with and without disabilities. Activities: Participants will be asked to fill out a survey, which consists of 34 questions related to physical activity.Time: This survey takes approximately 5 - 8 minutes to complete.Risks: There are no known risks associated with completing this questionnaire.Benefit: There are no known benefits to completing this survey. However, it is possible that you may enjoy thinking about your behaviors and support for your child's physical activity.Confidentiality: The information you provide during this research study will be kept confidential. Research records will be stored securely. The security and confidentiality of information collected online cannot be guaranteed. Confidentiality will be kept to the extent permitted by the technology being used. Information collected online can be intercepted, corrupted, lost, destroyed, arrive late or incomplete, or contain viruses.Payment: You will not be paid for being in this research study. Voluntary: Participation in this study is voluntary. The participant is free to skip any questions that he/she would prefer not to answer.
