This photo was taken by Fraser McGregor while on holiday in Cape Verde during the first week of July. With clearer skies around the colours in this picture could be attributed to volcanic ash high in the atmosphere which has spread around the Northern Hemisphere since the eruption of a volcano on Matua Island, Russia at the beginning of June.
